The field of Cybersecurity is crucial for safeguarding personal and organizational data. It also aids in maintaining the stability and security of critical infrastructure and even national security. The field requires continuous learning and adaptation, as well as a proactive approach to anticipate and mitigate potential risks.

So, what is it?

Cybersecurity refers to the practice of protecting systems, networks, and information from digital attacks. These cyberattacks are typically aimed at accessing, changing, or destroying sensitive information; extorting money from people; or interrupting normal business processes. Effective cybersecurity measures are designed to counteract these threats by implementing layered defenses and proactive strategies.

Okay, so what do careers in cybersecurity look like?

Believe it or not, there are hundreds of different roles in cybersecurity, and not all of them require technical skills or to be a computer whizz.
